Responsibilities
- Delivers high-quality customer service by managing a high volume of calls and assisting walk-in visitors with inquiries. Refers or routes calls to the appropriate staff as needed.
- Verifies member eligibility and ensures that all information remains current. Assists in resolving eligibility or technical issues within the organization.
- Updates member demographic information and schedules workshops and counseling appointments for members.
- Assists applicants in navigating the organization's technology systems and resources, including iCIMS, to apply for employment opportunities.
- Communicate or may act as liaison with division staff to address customer concerns or other issues.
- Inputs, reviews, and generates data tracking tools to monitor services provided.
- Ensures accurate training eligibility information is communicated to applicants.
Manages the Job Security Fund (JSF) verification process to confirm applicant eligibility. - Performs additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college or Degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year of administrative, clerical, or call center experience is preferred.
- Strong data entry skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Word are required; proficiency in Excel is preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to initiate own communication and maintain a pleasant attitude to ensure excellent service to members and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask, work under pressure, and establish priorities.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and travel within the NYC area as required.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another second language is highly preferred.
Salary range
- $43,000 - $53,800 per year
